From December 12th to December 17th, the French Embassy in partnership with Business France will launch the first Parisian edition of the French-American Digital Lab, a 6 day exchange program of workshops, conferences, and networking events, with leading tech and cultural companies for the development of international culture-focused startups. The mission of this program which is part of French Tech New York and Paris-New York Tandem 2016, and which will bring established business leaders, incubators, institutions, and pioneering young entrepreneurs from both countries, is to support and lend resources to young creative leaders who are the drivers of global competitiveness.
For its first Parisian edition, Digital Lab which is supported by the City of Paris, the Institut français, FACE Foundation, Flipboard, and Vivendi, seeks US-based creative minds who place culture at the heart of their work. The product and service domains that may be eligible include but are not limited to, museums and cultural sites, visual arts, performing arts, audiovisual and cinema, video games, music, fashion and design, and publishing.
Major French incubators including Paris&Co, 104factory, CENTQUATRE-PARIS incubator, Créatis, l’Institut Français de la Mode, and Look Forward, along with world-class cultural institutions and leading French companies such as Havas, Orange, Vivendi, and France Télévision, will bring their local expertise to this wide network and help tailor the program to each participant’s needs. These experts will also be present to support and empower the selected startups of the 2016 edition.
