StudioCanal is a French-based film production and distribution company that owns the third-largest film library in the world. The company is a unit of the Canal+ Group, owned by Vivendi. Lately they’ve made many strategic deals with notable American production companies. They finance many international films, including: Mulholland Drive, Brotherhood of the Wolf (one of the 2nd highest grossing French-language films in the US), Judgement Day (gross $519 million), The Tourist (gross $278 million) and more.

The international film production operation began in 2009 and has not stopped growing since. Today, StudioCanal is aiming to distribute approximately 10 international films a year. StudioCanal has produced many successful movies such as Inside LLewyn Davis by the Cohen Brothers, Last Exorcism by Eli Roth, Paddington by Paul King, and the highly anticipated MacBeth with Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.
