This is the world’s first Internet-connected tennis racket. The sensors embedded in the handle allow the racket to measure every component of each play. The information is instantly relayed via Bluetooth to a smartphone app.
Babolat, the French tennis company is behind this new disruptive technology and Thomas Otton, director of communications, is confident: « It’s going to be a huge change for the tennis player ». The player will be able to analyze the information to develop skills and improve much faster.
No wonder, then, that Internet of things will be a major theme at International CES, the huge consumer electronics show that begins in Las Vegas this week. Get more information on the exhibition here
