PRODUCT MANAGER POSITION OFFERED
One of our members is looking for a Product Manager for a company in the aerospace industry that commercializes specialty fasteners. This position serves as a liaison between Sales and Manufacturing. This position includes developing new or specific product lines within the company and specific focus is on Sales and Marketing activities but also responsible for operational performance and project management.
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Technical mechanical understanding
- Material resistance, understanding of mechanical behaviors such as shear, tension, fatigue
- Mechanical assemblies concepts and manufacturing understanding
- Relationships orientated, dynamic in its communication internally and externally
- Will accompany sales teams to the major aircraft manufacturers to better understand customer behaviors and promote COI business cases
- Interact with R&D to help promote innovation on product lines and build business cases on request
- Inform operations on market expectations and challenge the performance if required
- Sales orientated: the candidate will be focused on quotes/bookings follow-up and sales team training on its products
- Analytical skills
- Excel and other data analysis tools mastering is mandatory. A strong interest for data computing will definitively be a plus.
- The candidate will regularly build and introduce market analysis to justify action plans; due to the large number of part numbers and customers concerned, analytical skills are mandatory.
- Industrial marketing
- Understanding of marketing basics: segmenting, target, positioning of product lines
- Marketing tools (Mc Kinsey, BCG matrices..) to help build robust business cases
- Contribution when required to develop marketing supports (brochures, sales pitches, samples management
Education and Skills:
- Bachelor degree required and five to seven years of experience in Sales, Operations, and/or Engineering
- Aerospace precision manufactured components and assemblies experience is a plus.
- Bilingual in English/French highly preferred.
Salary: 110-120K + benefits
