R&D has always been at the heart of Oberthur Technologies’ DNA, the leading global provider of embedded security software products and services.

Once again OT proves this to the general public, this time by partnering with Leti the institute of CEA Tech, The French Atomic Energy and Alternative Energy Commission’s technology research unit, to explore new solutions in a fast-growing digital era.

CEA Tech includes three labs among which Leti, and develops a broad portfolio of technologies for information and communications technology, energy, and healthcare.

The two recently signed a letter of intent to collaborate on a wide range of technologies and digital solutions for security and performance, in the areas of biometrics, component and systems security, electronics, lower-power architecture, the internet of things (IoT), and connectivity.

With a growing demand for a secure IoT space, it is safe to say that other companies will follow the lead by increasing their investments in the research and development of cryptography, as well as embedded and remote management technologies.
