The Alliance Française of Los Angeles

The Alliance Française of Los Angeles is part of a global network that dates from 1883, when the Alliance Française de Paris was created. Today, there are over 800 Alliances Françaises chapters working in 130 countries across the globe. We all share a common mission of promoting the French language and Francophone cultures, in order to foster positive relations between Francophones and Francophiles of all ethnicities and nationalities. Currently, there are over 100 Chapters in the USA and Puerto Rico. The Alliance Française of Los Angeles is represented by its General Delegation at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C., and is a member of the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA.

The Alliance Francaise de Los Angeles offers French classes for adults and children, all levels, group lessons, private, corporate or video conferences (Skype, Portal) as well as a summer camp. You can come to our offices or we can provide you a teacher at a place convenient for you. We recently opened 2 new branches in Palm Springs and Westlake Village.

We also offer conversation or literature courses as well as numerous thematic workshops from History of France to the specifics of French phonetics. Our cultural program presents different events as a book club, a cinema club, conferences, exhibitions, book signings, cooking classes, Wine tastings and more.

We invite you to become a member and benefit with discounts on classes, activities, and French restaurants. You will enjoy French culture, French experiences and more French access all year long. By supporting AFdeLA as a member, you help ensure the future of AFdeLA.
